Private Tour of Emilia Romagna Food Producers

Your group is assigned a private driver/guide who will lead your tour. You may encounter other travelers separate from your group within the factories

ITINERARY:

  • You will be collected from your centrally located Bologna hotel / or your guide will meet you in the city center in the morning

  • We will visit a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory where you will see a live cheese making demonstration and sample cheese from various stages of the aging process.

  • Next, visit an “Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena” producer where you will learn the process of making balsamic vinegar. You will have an opportunity to sample a variety of vinegars with accompanying local products

  • Our next stop will be a Proscuitto factory with over 50 varieties of ham. Some produced on site, as well as a curation of product from other Italian and broader European regions

  • The visit ends with a tasting of cured meats, cheese with the Tigelle, the local bread, served hot.
